Welcome to Tabernacle of David. We are a Presence Based Prophetic Community.
Please be aware prophecy is conditional…
Have you fulfilled the conditions of prophetic words you have already received?
If you get words about being Apostolic- Prophetic, and you are in a church that doesn’t believe in that.
You will find yourself watering the anointing down, or will find your self thrown out!
Are you truly planted in a “Lifegiving” church that will let you come forth?
If when you get words about ministry, they won’t let you grow into it, or speak into it whilst raising you up?
It probably isn’t going to happen… God is not a fool.
If you get a word about teaching, your part is studying the bible, being faithful, being planted.
You will not just wake up someday and magically be able to teach.
If you get words about being an apostle, there is some part you play…
Faithfulness and Serving, Being one who can be trusted with a shepherds flock.
If not, you will just hurt the sheep and be an immature or even False Apostle that is dangerous to the community and the body.
If you get words about music, you will have to learn to play an instrument.
If you get words about being a psalmist, you must pick up a pen and write.
Please don’t waste Gods time, or the Prophets.
If you don’t want to steward the prophetic word... just go back to your church, and look at the back of your neighbors head.
Sit home and read your book of prophetic words of what you will be someday.
Much of what has followed the prophetic has been wacky and delusional.
It is time to grow up!
In 2006, the Holy Spirit said to raise this work up. He said to create a house for His presence. Where He was free to do whatever He wanted to, with No Boundaries on Him.
A house He would be able to delight in. He said to raise up a place of safety for intercessors and prophetic people. Many who have been used or neglected in the churches. Many who were really hurting, or would be. He said that they needed a place to grow and come forth in their Giftings and Ministries and where character could be built into them so they could handle the long haul of the prophetic and ministry.
We had spent most of our lives in ministry and our burden was really pastoring the Prophetic, and bringing in Revival. Both of which we had some experience doing.
We hold to all the Orthodox Christian creeds, and we have been thru the Kingdom, Sonship, Charismatic, Vineyard, Messianic, IHOP, and River streams.
We greatly honor the contributions of all who have pioneered ahead of us.
Our First value, and what everything revolves around is the “Presence of the Lord.”
The children of Israel had the “Shekinah Glory” and dared do nothing without it.
So when the glory left, so did their kingdom, this is what we call Presence based
Exo 33:14 And He said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
Exo 33:15 And He said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
When His presence leaves it is time to fold up. We don’t want to be doing something He is not. Many churches, the glory departed (Ichabod) and they don’t know and don’t care. All the religious activities continue and people say in their heart this is what church is.
We feel if He is not here we don’t want to do it. We realize we are not smart enough, exciting enough or eloquent enough, to keep something going He is not doing
The Second is “Intimacy.” The heart of God is a love relationship with His creation. His heart has always been that we find our Life, our Identity, and very fount, out of Him – Ministry will be an overflow of this.
Clara Grace shares a visitation where father God shared His broken heart
for a fallen creation. What it was like before the fall. The intimacy He knew with Adam and Eve. He walked and talked with them and He wants that same relationship with us. The Fathers heart longs for us, Jesus heart burns for us in our weakness, and immaturity.
The Eternal Living God has burning fervent love for us now before we die and are perfect. He wants us to grow up so He can trust us… but His heart burns for us.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Exo 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee
Joh 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Joh 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
The Third, is “Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.”
He is a person…
We ask what does He Love? and Hate? What brings him joy, and what grieves him?
We have sat in churches to long where leaders felt the HS was to there to bless their programs, and schemes, and religious traditions.
What does He want? What is He saying? What is He feeling? We strive to create
an environment where He is free to move.
Fourth, "WE minister to Him" – we come to love on Him we come to give to Him.
We give our praise and worship, our hearts, and time, and talent, and treasures,
Fifth, "to be as little children" – little children are helpless, dependent, I can do nothing without you, children are innocent, and vulnerable. Little children can be undone in His presence. They give themselves totally, they don’t hold back in worship and Love.
We don’t have all the answers, but He does.
Mat 18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Sixth, "Ministry" – we lead people to the arms of the Father, not to ourselves.
There is way too much of a cult of personality in the ministry.
We give to the sheep, and We who are in the 5 fold ministry are to serve in
Love; to mother and father, and nurture the sheep, not fleece them
We minister out of what is given to us in a loving relationship with a Holy God;
not so we can feel good about yourselves. We don’t shepherd so we can a live a life of luxury without working hard. Our city is full of those who run their churches like the mafia, and live dark secret lives. As Mark Barclay said “If we knew what 75% of these people were doing with our money we would hunt them down” This starts with insecure people who minister out of a gift instead of relationship. We are not interested in creating more of this.
Seventh, a "Prophetic Community" – We were commissioned to do church differently. Especially making it a place of safety and sanctuary, for the “Prophetic People.”
Many of that community are used to being rejected and unwanted by the church. Many have been used for their gifting, or have had leaders jealous of them or just unable to relate to dreams, visions, angelic visitations, seeing in the spirit realm. On the same token, many also have unscriptural revelations like they don’t need to be planted in the local church. They are above that. They can go and draw people’s hearts after themselves with their giftings. They hear God and no one else does. These are things that have to be lovingly and humbly dealt with. So the Prophetic isn’t a joke anymore, and we have had some time pastoring the Prophetic, and Revival.
We are probably “one of” the fellowships that value intercessors and prophetic people the most in Western Michigan.
Eighth, "The Word of God" – is living, powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. We honor the Bible. We honor His promises… In the River, some of us got off of the Word of God. Many leaders had really NO bible school and didn’t value the Word, They were subject to error not knowing how to rightly divide the Word.
We are going back to the Word of God. Every new thing God does, we will find in there.
The Word is a Plumb line. We are called to live by faith in His word. To build His kingdom, not heap things upon ourselves. Even though it has been abused and twisted, it still is true that the Word of the Lord will bring forth life and create.
Isa 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Mat 4:4 But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That He might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Ninth, "Revolution or Reformation" – Christians, ourselves included, have misrepresented God to our city. Most people want nothing to do with him.
We are responsible for our generation. We will give an account.
If most of your life you spent listening to how Jesus is going to make you rich.
While you looked at the back of your neighbors head, and supported your pastors building metallic monstrosities to his greatness. When you stand before the throne…
You are going to watch most of your works burn.
We are looking for red hot lovers of God and “Revolutionaries of reformation” and so is the Holy Spirit. Come out of her my people WAKE UP! and start to desire His purposes To mature and come forth in your gifts and ministry.
We need each other its time to shake yourself and come alive to the Spirit of the Living God and Kingdom Destiny!
1Co 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1Co 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Tenth, "we drink from all streams" – and we will hear anyone who is anointed.
In the vineyard, we sang vineyard songs, and listened to vineyard ministers.
In the river - river songs and river speakers.
We draw from all and we cross all those lines of denomination and segregation.
We may even sing a 70s charismatic song or hymn…
WE WILL DO whatever God is saying
past all Boundaries, Color, Culture, and Generations… we also Love our Jewish roots.
Eleventh, "What is Church?" – We have been pursuing the Lord for 20 years asking Him, What is church??? and How do we build a work that lasts? Does revival have to end? How can we pastor the presence of God?
How do we stay out of His way? How do we not touch the glory? How do we keep from falling because of Arrogance, Greed or Immorality; or just becoming passive, and
Therefore, really no value to the Kingdom of God.
as Dennis Cramer puts it:
“Sadly, the church of Jesus Christ is full of average believers. This average believer tends to be quite sincere, a good person to be sure, yet he or she is a spiritual under-achiever.
The average believer tends to be spiritually unhealthy, spiritually crippled, and most likely to be a spiritual invalid. The average believer may be loving and kind, but he ceased to be a spiritual threat long ago.
Hell accurately perceives the average believer as spiritually harmless and rightly so. He is operating at about 40 percent of his spiritual capacity. So why is there such an epidemic of average in the church? The answer is simple: The average believer has failed to recognize that his call has changed, and he has not! Let me repeat that: His call has changed, and he has not! Although this tragedy has occurred out of ignorance, instead of disobedience or rebellion, still, it has happened.
Yes, the average believer will clearly go to heaven, but his kingdom role here on earth will be negligible, spiritually insignificant, and spiritually inept. What a terrible, terrible waste of a life. “
The cry is going out who is on the lords side? who wants to do things His way?
Why is it your children don’t want the religious heritage you handed them?
They don’t want to be religious they want to have fun!
We never let them know God is the most fun person you will ever know!
The greatest pleasure of LIFE… is in His presence!
Psa 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presenceis fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Who wants to raise up the tabernacle of David and start doing church His way?
Amo 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
Amo 9:13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
Amo 9:14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
Amo 9:15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God
